About the role

This is a high-ownership role for someone who will own Maxim's voice across every channel where our audience lives, including LinkedIn, YouTube, X, Reddit, daily.dev, and developer communities. You will be responsible for how Maxim and Bifrost (our open-source AI gateway) show up in public: what we post, how we sound, the videos we ship, and the conversations we join.

We market to developers, AI teams, and decision makers in large and Fortune 500 enterprises. Corporate, broadcast-style social does not work with this audience. The goal is to build a presence that earns attention from technical, discerning buyers through genuinely useful content, sharp commentary, and consistent participation in the communities that matter. The work ranges widely: scripting a YouTube demo of Bifrost, drafting a feature launch post for LinkedIn, adapting a new blog into an X thread, or contributing to a Reddit discussion comparing AI gateways. Success in this role depends on speed, editorial taste, and the understanding that on social, authenticity is the strategy.

Responsibilities

  • Channel Ownership & Strategy: Own the strategy, calendar, and day-to-day execution across LinkedIn, YouTube, X, Reddit, daily.dev, and emerging channels. Decide what gets posted where, in what format, and at what cadence, and adapt the playbook per channel rather than cross-posting the same thing everywhere.
  • Content Creation & Repurposing: Turn every blog, launch, talk, and product update into a stream of native social content, including posts, threads, carousels, shorts, and clips. Build a repurposing engine so one piece of work shows up everywhere it should.
  • Video & YouTube: Own the YouTube channel end to end, from concept and scripting to production coordination and publishing, across product demos, tutorials, explainers, and talks. Help us turn complex infrastructure topics into video that developers actually watch.
  • Community Engagement: Show up authentically in developer and AI communities, joining real conversations, answering questions, and building relationships. 
  • Launches & Moments: Plan and run social moments around product launches, feature releases, and ecosystem events, including coordinated pushes across channels and developer platforms.
  • Analytics & Reporting: Track engagement, follower growth, reach, and, most importantly, what actually drives traffic and qualified interest. Use the data to double down on what works and kill what doesn't.
  • Creator Partnerships: Working with developer YouTubers, newsletter writers, and indie creators for collabs and guest content.
  • Newsletter: Own the internal and external newsletter strategy and execution

About You

  • You are a true generalist across social media platforms. You can write a crisp LinkedIn post, script a YouTube video, run an X account, and read the room in a developer subreddit, often in the same day.
  • You are technical enough to be credible. You understand developer tools, AI, and infrastructure well enough that engineers take your content seriously, and you can tell the difference between a post that resonates and one that reads like marketing.
  • You have taste and a point of view. You know what good looks like across formats and you are not afraid to have an opinion about it.
  • You move with uncomfortable speed and you are reactive. You can jump on a trending conversation or ship a timely post while the moment is still hot.
  • You build for authenticity, always. You believe the best social strategy is being genuinely useful and human, not gaming engagement or astroturfing communities.
  • Bonus points if you have grown a social or YouTube channel from scratch, marketed to developers or technical buyers, or built a founder's personal brand.
  • Additional bonus points for meme fluency.

Requirements

  • Experience: 2+ years owning social media, content, or community for a B2B SaaS, developer-tools, AI, or media brand.
  • Craft: Strong short-form writing across LinkedIn and X, plus hands-on familiarity with video, including scripting and a working sense of editing, shorts, and what performs on YouTube.
  • Channel Fluency: Demonstrated understanding of how LinkedIn, YouTube, X, and at least one developer community (Reddit, daily.dev, etc.) actually work, and how they differ.
  • Analytics: Comfortable using native and third-party analytics to measure performance and inform what comes next.
  • Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication; ability to align founders and external stakeholders clearly.
  • Availability: Reasonable overlap with US hours to collaborate with global clients and partners.
