About the role
This role offers a front-row seat to shaping the production infrastructure that will power the next generation of AI builders and define how AI systems are built and scaled in the real world.
As a Product Designer at Maxim, you’ll shape the end-to-end experience across our AI agent infrastructure - spanning gateway and governance, observability, and evaluations. You will also own the brand’s visual representation across channels. You will design large-scale and highly complex experiences while making them intuitive and delightful to use. You’ll work closely with the founders, PM, and GTM teams to understand user needs, design clear UI flows, and maintain a high creative and visual bar across product and brand.
Responsibilities
- Engage deeply in problem discovery and user research in the evolving AI development space, building strong opinions on the strongest user JTBDs to solve.
- Stay connected with customers to understand real-world usage, feedback, and constraints, and turn those insights into improvements for the product experience.
- Translate product requirements into clear UX by breaking down the problem, brainstorming, wireframing, iterating on UI and getting feedback as required.
- Hold a high bar for the quality of what ships by continuous collaboration with engineering teams, design reviews and clearing UX debt.
- Own and maintain the product’s design system as well as brand visual language and look for opportunities to enhance it.
- Partner with GTM teams to design all collaterals that goes on any marketing channel of Maxim like website, sales decks, social media posts, newsletters, etc and build foundational brans systems to optimise these over time.
About You
- You have experience designing for a B2B SaaS product.
- You have 1-3 years of product or visual design experience in a fast-moving start-up and have owned outcomes end-to-end.
- You have strong design fundamentals (typography, color, layout) and can apply them consistently across UI and brand.
- You can quickly ramp up on new technical domains and understand the underlying systems, constraints, and workflows.
- You think beyond the UI and contribute to the broader user experience by identifying root problems, mapping end-to-end journeys, and shaping solutions that address real user pain points.
- You thrive in ambiguous spaces and take ownership to break down complex problems instead of needing clear structure handed to you.
- You stay on top of everything. Nothing falls through the cracks because you're tracking it, following up, and closing loops consistently.
- You're sharp and articulate. You communicate clearly in writing and conversation, and can align founders, team members, and external stakeholders without losing clarity.
- You have extreme attention to detail and a high regard for precision, but also see the bigger picture. You sweat the small stuff while understanding how it connects to revenue, risk, and long-term business outcomes.
- You are comfortable operating with (often uncomfortable) speed and urgency.
- You use AI tools extensively in your day-to-day work to drive better outcomes.
