About the Role: Operations Associate
Serving as the core of Maxim’s day-to-day environment, the Operations Associate acts as a vital bridge across Legal, Finance, and HR functions. In this high-impact capacity, you will collaborate with the CEO to establish foundational systems that transition our workflows to "autopilot," facilitating seamless scalability during our growth phase.
What You’ll Do
- People Operations: Support the HR lead throughout the entire employee lifecycle, from initial talent sourcing and candidate screening to onboarding, tracking attendance, and overseeing payroll administration.
- Legal & Employee Ops: Manage internal documentation, including offer letters, insurance renewals, and compliance filings.
- Vendor & Workplace Management: Own the relationships with all external vendors (IT, admin, office maintenance) and manage office operations like client gifting and company merchandise.
- Accounting Liaison: Coordinate with external CA/CS team for monthly MIS, GST filings, and data categorization for our Indian and US entities.
- Operational Efficiency: Scrutinize existing workflows to remove manual bottlenecks.
About You
- You excel at getting work done through others (e.g., chasing external legal or finance teams to meet deadlines).
- You possess a keen eye for detail, identifying contractual errors and monitoring office needs before others do.
- You are adaptable - shifting from a high-level recruitment compliance call to managing office logistics in the same hour.
- You are comfortable operating with (often uncomfortable) speed and urgency.
- You communicate clearly in writing and conversation, and can align founders, team members, and external stakeholders without losing clarity.
- You stay on top of everything. Nothing falls through the cracks because you're tracking it, following up, and closing loops consistently.
- A genuine fascination with optimizing workplace output coupled with a rigorous commitment to time management

Previous experience in a comparable capacity within an early-stage startup environment.
