About the role

This is a high-ownership, full-stack marketing role for someone who wants to run the entire growth engine, not just one lever of it. You will own how technical buyers and enterprise teams discover, understand, and trust Maxim, across our evaluation/observability platform and Bifrost, our open-source AI gateway.

The scope spans the full marketing stack: publishing technical content built to rank for high-intent keywords, optimizing paid campaigns, diagnosing search ranking changes, and analyzing GA4 funnels to understand where qualified signups drop off. This role rewards initiative over instruction. You are expected to identify opportunities, develop the plan, execute, and measure the impact on the metrics that matter. Because we serve a sophisticated audience spanning developers, AI teams, and decision makers in large and Fortune 500 enterprises, you will need to market with technical credibility and the discipline to ground every decision in data.

Responsibilities

  • Content Marketing & Technical Storytelling: Own the content engine end to end, from SEO blog posts and comparison/alternative pages to product pages, ebooks, and developer-facing guides. Translate dense infrastructure concepts (AI gateways, MCP, model routing, evals, observability) into content that ranks, converts, and earns trust with a technical audience.
  • SEO & GEO: Run keyword research and gap analysis, build topic clusters and programmatic SEO pages, diagnose canonical/indexing issues, and grow organic share of voice against direct competitors. Extend the same discipline to Generative Engine Optimization, optimizing how Maxim and Bifrost surface inside AI answers and assistants.
  • Growth & Demand Generation: Plan, launch, and iterate on paid campaigns across Google Ads and LinkedIn, write high-performing ad copy within tight character constraints, and support the product-led growth motion that turns open-source and free-tier usage into qualified pipeline.
  • Analytics & Attribution: Live in the data. Use GA4, Google Search Console, Semrush, and product telemetry to track what is working, identify power users and high-intent accounts, and report on the metrics that matter, from organic traffic to signup-to-activation to influenced revenue.
  • Channel & Community Marketing: Build Maxim's presence where our audience already is, across LinkedIn, X, Reddit, daily.dev, and developer communities, with authentic, technically credible content rather than noise.
  • Marketing Ops & Experimentation: Stand up and maintain the plumbing, including tracking, GTM/event instrumentation, attribution, and the tooling that connects marketing activity to pipeline. Replace manual, repetitive work with scalable, automated systems.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with founders, product, engineering, and sales to align messaging with what we are actually shipping and to make sure every launch lands.

About You

  • You are a true generalist who is genuinely excited to wear many hats. You would rather own the whole growth motion than be boxed into a single channel, and you move between SEO strategy and a live ad campaign in the same afternoon without losing focus.
  • You are technical enough to be dangerous. You may not write production code, but you understand developer tools, AI infrastructure, and how technical buyers evaluate products, and you can hold your own in a conversation with engineers.
  • You don't just publish; you measure. You are obsessed with what actually moved the metric and ruthless about cutting what doesn't.
  • You operate with uncomfortable speed. You understand that shipping a campaign this week instead of next month is often the difference between owning a keyword and ceding it to a competitor.
  • You don't wait for instructions. You spot the gap, write the plan, and ship, then iterate based on what the data tells you.
  • Bonus points if you have marketed to developers or technical buyers, worked in dev tools / AI / infra, or contributed to a product-led growth motion.

Requirements

  • Experience: 2+ years in a Growth, Content, SEO, or Marketing Generalist role, ideally at a B2B SaaS, developer-tools, or AI company.
  • Craft: Strong writing chops with the ability to make technical topics clear and compelling, plus hands-on familiarity with SEO and at least one paid channel (Google Ads or LinkedIn).
  • Analytics: Comfortable working with tools like GA4, Google Search Console, and Semrush, and a habit of letting data drive decisions.
  • Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication; ability to align founders and external stakeholders clearly.
  • Availability: Reasonable overlap with US hours to collaborate with global clients and partners.
