[ MCP SERVER SUMMARY ]
Twelve Data's MCP server exposes real-time and historical market data, technical indicators, fundamentals, and news to AI assistants. The hosted endpoint handles login via browser OAuth; Bifrost keeps market-data tools behind virtual-key policies and audit logging.

[ HOW TO CONNECT ]
Start the gateway locally or deploy in your VPC.
npx -y @maximhq/bifrost
Open MCP Gateway in the Bifrost dashboard, click New MCP Server, and choose HTTP. Or register via the API below.
• Hosted cloud server is recommended: https://mcp.twelvedata.com/mcp with browser login.
• Local STDIO mode uses your Twelve Data API key — see the GitHub README Option 2.
Configure Claude Desktop, Cursor, or Claude Code to use your Bifrost endpoint with a virtual key instead of connecting directly to Twelve Data.

[ FAQ ]
Twelve Data exposes realtime and historical prices, 60+ technical indicators, fundamentals earnings and news to MCP-compatible AI clients. Bifrost connects to it as an upstream MCP client and exposes approved tools through one governed /mcp endpoint.
Twelve Data uses OAuth (hosted) or API key (local). Store credentials in Bifrost's environment or credential configuration so they stay at the gateway instead of being copied into every AI client.
Yes. After registering Twelve Data in Bifrost, point any HTTP MCP-compatible client at the Bifrost /mcp endpoint and authenticate with a virtual key. The client sees only the tools allowed for that key.
