What is Bifrost Edge?+
A lightweight service that sits on employee laptops and routes all AI traffic (Claude Code, ChatGPT, Copilot, and more) through the Bifrost Gateway. Nothing changes for the people using it, while your infrastructure and security teams get full visibility and control over every prompt, response, and file.
What is shadow AI, and how does Bifrost Edge help?+
Shadow AI is the AI tools your team adopts on their own, outside anything central. The tools are great; the problem is they run out of sight, so prompts, responses, and files leave without any oversight. Bifrost Edge brings every one of them under your gateway, so the AI people already use is finally visible and governed, with nothing taken away.
What do I need to run it?+
Bifrost Edge is available to enterprise customers of the Bifrost gateway. Sign in with Bifrost using the identity provider your company already runs, like Microsoft Entra, Google Workspace, Okta, or any OIDC provider. It runs on macOS, Windows, and Linux.
What AI does it govern?+
Everything your team actually uses: desktop chat apps, AI in the browser, coding tools in the terminal and editor, and the connectors those tools plug into. You can also request support for more tools. See the full, current list in Supported applications.
Does anything change for the people using AI?+
No. They keep the tools they already use, with one browser sign-in and nothing new to learn. More in How it works.

How much does it cost?+
Pricing is based on the number of devices Edge runs on. Bifrost Edge is currently available in early access, and we are offering it at no cost to our existing enterprise customers. Full pricing will be released soon.
How does it work with our existing endpoint and network security tools?+
Bifrost Edge runs alongside them, it does not replace them. Tools like CrowdStrike, Zscaler, and Tailscale protect your devices and your network as a whole. Edge focuses only on AI traffic going to AI tools and applying your rules to them. Keep everything you have in place and add Edge on top.
